I need help switching providers
Making switching providers simple and stress-free
Already have a Package with another provider?
If you’re considering switching to St Louis Home Care with the new Support at Home program, the process is even simpler: Contact us and let us know you’d like to transfer to St Louis Home Care. We will guide you through informing your current provider (usually a 1-4 week notice required) and coordinate the handover date, which can align with the start of Support at Home. All your approvals remain the same; only the provider changes.
There are no penalties for switching, in fact, the government encourages choosing the provider that best suits you. Under Support at Home, it will be as easy as ever to make the switch if you desire. St Louis will ensure a seamless transfer, handling the admin so you don’t experience a gap in care. If you’re not happy where you are, it’s your right to change, and we’re ready to welcome you.
After You’re Set Up
Once you’re up and running with services, St Louis will continue to support you in navigating the program long-term: We will review your care with you regularly to make sure it’s meeting your needs. If your needs increase, we’ll help arrange a re-assessment to get you a higher funding level (one of the benefits of the new 8-level system, it can scale with you). We’ll keep you informed of any program updates (like if price caps come in 2026, etc.). And of course, you can contact us anytime for adjustments or questions.
We understand that starting services for the first time can feel like a big step. But you’re not alone, we’ll walk alongside you through every step. Our goal is to help you live safely, happily, and independently at home, with the right level of support.
